I was born and raised on the streets of San Diego. I was inspired by art at a very young age and picked up my first spray can at the tender age of 10 years old. What soon followed was a trail of colors among the city streets, freeways, and billboards for another 8 years until I found Jesus Christ and surrendered my life to Him as my Lord and Savior.
In October of 1997, I came to realize that my talents are from GOD and Him alone, since then I’ve been painting for His glory and not my own. I’ve been blessed to use Graffiti art as a tool in church functions and outreaches to reach people who otherwise might not have shown an interest in the things of God.
In January of 2000, I started my own business called SyckmayD Designs, offering custom murals and canvases for clients. November of 2000, my life was forever changed when I married my best friend. I've mentored her in the art of graffiti and she's joined me on some ventures dubbed as "WYFER". Due to my calling as an artist, it's by no means a coincidence that a clothing line evolved from the beginning, offering multiple t-shirt designs, hoodies, tank tops, beanies, and hats.
To this day, I know that GOD has plans for my life (Jer 29:11) and I’ve learned to hear when He speaks to me. My hope is that I’ll be able to use this craft for His glory until He calls me home.
